I've got to admit, I feel like there were probably warning signs, possibly some sort of visible external sign that this individual was mentally unwell and perhaps in the grips of delusions and insanity of some kind. I wonder what could have given away. What could have not? There must not have been anything. There's probably no way to see this coming.
