The subsequent drop, then, can be likely attributed to such factors as a slowing of Switch 2 sales over Christmas and a lack of a killer app six months into the console's life.
Shareholders will also doubtlessly be concerned about the potential of future price increases as a result of the increasingly high cost of RAM and ongoing tariffs, most notably in America.
Yeah, I don't look at this as a concern at all, specifically because it was a very anticipated console launch, so that's going to spike things.
I feel like that kind of got it to a point of being potentially even overvalued.
So a drop like this isn't necessarily indicative of a problem.
You add on all the tariffs and RAM and all that stuff, that is something that tech across the board is going to be dealing with.
And we're going to see stock prices accordingly move
down for a lot of different companies as uh price increases actually happen right now this is all potential fear of it happening with with nintendo it hasn't happened yet right um we're also when you compare the switch one to the switch to it we just don't have enough information we don't have the donkey kong sales numbers yet like we don't know how successful some of these games have been actually um and also switch one at this point was out
what, three, four months longer than the Switch 2 currently is given the calendar year.
So it is going to be interesting to see how it keeps going.
What I do think might happen, though, is if the shareholders are angry and Nintendo have to look at this and be like, we need to do something to address this, I do have a feeling that this year we're going to get a couple black screens with text that say,
The follow-up to The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom is in development.
Mario's next adventure is being worked on.
Things like that that are the teasiest of teases.
And I know people don't like that, but that's the type of stuff that gets shareholders to be like, okay, I have faith that this is going to be okay.
Because the reality is, like, I think you'd be silly to not have faith in the Switch 2 at this point.
Like, to look at where Nintendo was for the last 15 years and how bad it was during the end of the Wii U and the 3DS and how, like, God, I don't know why I did this to myself.
I really don't know why.
But I watched Nintendo's, what was it, I think 2016 E3.
Yeah.
