I'm a little surprised.
There's not a lot of tape on Ty Simpson.
One year, and we've seen some guys who've gone through that with not a lot of college experience come to the NFL and have problems.
I don't know.
I'm not a quarterback analyst.
What I do know is that I think it's a thin quarterback draft class.
I think next year, again, we said this year to year, it does switch.
But next year seems to be more...
in terms of depth, more available to people who are looking for quarterbacks.
So, I don't know.
If he's available at 21, I think it would be very interesting to see what the Steelers do.
I also know that they were at LSU the other day, and they were looking at maybe Garrett Nussmeier, Drew Aller they've interviewed.
There are picks that could happen later in the draft.
Someone once told me, and I agree with this, sometimes if you're looking for quarterbacks and you haven't had success in a few years, you just keep drafting until you hit on one.
Maybe that's the way to go, but I still think Joe and Austin, I'm going to stick with wide receiver in the first round and see what happens after that.
I think it's only common sense, right, to go to places that you think they're high pedigree players.
You want to see them in person.
You want to talk to them.
I know Tomlin valued all the interactions through dinner that they had.
I don't know if McCarthy and Omar still continue that tradition, but I'm sure you want to get to know them the best you can.
