I wouldn't say it's dead because if you still can execute it, it does play a role.
I think there are teams out there who know how to do it better than others.
But generally, to your point, people don't do it as much as they used to in terms of moving runners over strategically, hitting to the right side when you know that's the play to get a guy in scoring position.
All of these things, even bunting.
Bunting has become a lost art.
Nobody knows how to do it anymore.
So from that point of view, you're right.
