In case you missed it, Connor Griffin, the number one prospect in all of baseball, has been recalled by the Pittsburgh Pirates.
He will be here for the opener tomorrow against Baltimore.
At this moment in time, there is no information about whether or not the Pirates have extended him longer term.
But I think that's just fait accompli.
That will happen at some point.
And it may happen sooner than later.
We'll see.

But first, there's a lot of speculation out there, Austin, about how soon this contract will be completed.
I still think there's not necessarily a rush for them to do it.
But maybe it's deep enough negotiations where it can happen sooner.
I don't either, but if it is that, regardless of what it is, if he performs the way he's capable and what they think and what all the baseball experts think, then this will be money well spent.
It won't be money that kills them in any way.
It'll be in the $17 million a year range, and quite frankly, if you get a starting shortstop who can be as good potentially as he can be, that's a bargain.
