Joe Starkey is recovering from a sickness.

We wish him well, and hopefully we'll see him soon.

But I'm sure he's happy with the news of the day.

Like most Pirate fans are, that you're going to see Connor Griffin tomorrow on opening day against the Baltimore Orioles.

He was called up this morning.

No word on a contract, although there are plenty of national reports that seem to believe that he will get some sort of deal soon here.

I don't know what soon actually means.

But the bottom line is they believe he is their best option, which has been the case all along.

I thought he was their best option at the start of the season.

But he goes down there and just – how many games?
