I think it's an interesting one.

Normally, when you get a 30-goal score like Anthony Mantha, you would think, okay, he's an MVP candidate.

I think Eric Carlson is the slam dunk MVP winner for this team.

But also there are questions about what happens after this year.

They have a couple of guys who were big pickups in free agency.

Two of the best goal scorers of all the free agents available were here because Kyle Dubas signed Mantha, and he knew Mantha had some history of injury, and that was probably ruining his market in terms of what he could get.

Penguins believed in it, gave him a $2.2 million deal, and now they benefit from that.

The question moving forward is how much?

will it take to keep him if you want to keep him?

I would assume they want to keep him, but I don't know that they're going to agree to the terms that he may want or get in the open market.
