My question to you is this.
Connor Griffin, you're going to tell me after 14 at-bats they suddenly realized he's, oh, he's ready.
He's been ready.
I don't put much stock into what that spring number was, and they were using that potentially as a reason to get him back down there.
He should have been here from the beginning, and I stand by that.
That's what I wanted to see, and I'm glad that they've decided this is the time.
Maybe they were dangling that contract extension, and finally they just said, we've got to do this regardless.
He's our best option.
Maybe, maybe not.
And they're going to call him up regardless.
Listen, he has no control over that.
They can do what they want because he doesn't have that.
He has his entry-level first-year contract.
That's what he's going to get unless it changes.
Now, maybe they've agreed that you come up because we believe in you and we'll continue these conversations as we go.
But so far, it doesn't seem like there's an extension.
No, not yet.
But he's 19, and I'm glad to see it.
No, no.
In fact, I don't think there's any necessary rush to get it done.
