Darnell Nurse asks for a trade, agrees it's time for a fresh start.

That's the lead.

Again, I want to reiterate the point.

This show is called Oilers Now, and you can have whatever opinion you want.

A lot of you brought a lot of opinions on the Mike Babcock situation.

Many of you did not like it.

Now, there's people out there that don't think Babcock was a very good coach the last several years that he was in the NHL.

I would respectfully disagree with that, but that's okay.

That's your prerogative.

And...

We'll see.

Again, right now it appears, like the Stanley Cup Finals on, I'm not sure when this situation gets resolved.

But anyhow, as for Darnell Nurse, he has become the number one story today in oil country.

Good, honest, competitive player.

In a perfect world, a second-pairing left-shot defenseman can kill penalties, can play a second power play unit.

He is tough.

He stands up for his teammates.

Probably at times tries to do a little bit too much when he activates offensively and has had some up and down moments.

But he's been a really good teammate, an important part of this team here in oil country.

I don't think there's any question about that.
