Guess what?
There's going to be opportunities for him to play tackle while Jermaine Luminor is still under contract for two years at minimum, and the third year is where the Giants have that out.
Because guess what?
Andrew Thomas is not going to play every game.
Jermaine Luminor most likely won't play every game, even though he has been very available.
So there's going to be those opportunities to kick out there the same way there was for Elijah Vera Tucker with the Jets.
And Elijah Vera Tucker was good at it for the Jets.
So, you know, the Giants may be in a situation where in two years, Jermaine Illuminor maybe doesn't get injured or is not producing the way you want it at, you know, 34 or 35 years or whatever.
And you cut bait, you move him out to right tackle.
Or...
You just want to keep him at guard, right?
And you invest in another tackle in the draft, right?
Like that's going to be a position that you eventually need to β like Andrew Thomas isn't going to be around forever.
Like you're going to have to invest in that eventually again.
So it's just like he's β I think he's going to be a guy who wins awards at that guard spot, and that's why I want him there.
Where a tackle, I just don't β I don't think he's ever going to be an award-winning tackle.
Maybe I'm overthinking this like Tristan Wirfs, but I just β at guard β
That's going to matter.
And guard is so important, right?
Like I know positional value is a hot topic in this draft, Grump, where it's like the best players aren't at those positions of value.
