But I think that's what it was about.
And basically, John Harbaugh admitted that that's what it's about.
So the positive spin, like I said, is that John Harbaugh's coming here to change shit up.
And he'll take a machete to it if he needs to, but he's not just going to fall in line with the Giants' way.
And again, like it's awesome to see.
I was, I was going to be looking for confirmation that John Harbaugh was coming in here to make actual change and not just to practice and who he's going to hire as his coordinators and the fringes of free agency.
Those are things I was confident were going to happen.
Those other parts.
Is there going to be actual change?
And there's still to be decided.
We've got to see stuff that's going to happen.
It's not going to happen overnight.
This flip side of that is, I sure as hell wasn't hoping to find that out before he was even the Giants head coach.
That
Like, I just wish the Giants were more receptive to this stuff, where they like to say that they are, and then when it gets to nut-crunching time on a contract and putting that stuff in writing, they push back a lot on this, right?
That is why this took so long.
That's why there was some uncertainty, even though it wasn't a great uncertainty, is because the Giants were pushing back just as much as John Harbaugh was pushing for these things.
And we'll talk about the Joe Shane angle of this.
I really think because he's the GM, he gets the main conversation, which he is part of it, but not, I don't think, the focal point of it.
And we're going to find out what it is when guys start having their roles changed or removed in the next half a year, or maybe even next full year.
