They work incredibly hard, you know.
It's quite an interesting life they lead.

arm themselves because gold prospectors have been attacked and you know they get stolen from and um but so our two worlds collided in a way that was complete chance and um what's interesting as well is that Godey's very open about speaking about his mental health he'd been through a separation he was coming down to the beach to clear his head he said he could have gone left to Gilderton or right to Seabird he said he turned right like he had a gut feeling to turn right
And he ran into us.
It was kind of really cool.

Eddies make me believe the Bermuda Triangle is real.
So I never knew these circular currents actually existed before this paddle.
Eddies, they work off of islands.
They literally are strong enough to draw a catamaran into them.
So at the end of a hundred kilometre day, the Kiwis are in their boat.
This is night time.
They're using torches to search out to the side of the boat for crocodiles near me.
Absolutely terrifying.
They do these spot checks and I would just shudder as I waited for that torch to stop on a spot of water.
But we're going around and around for 10 minutes or so and...
I'm thinking, what are we doing?
I'm wasting energy.
And they said, stay close to the boat.
