But then you look at an ocean ski, that's different again.
Eight kilos, it's made purely of carbon fiber.
These are built for, you know, 20 kilometer races out in the middle of the ocean.
There's the most famous race is the Molokai, which is over in Hawaii and it's 50 kilometers.
So you're way offshore, you're paddling this tiny little craft, but I can tell you they go very fast.
They go up to probably 30 kilometers an hour and
When the wind and the waves are behind you, you just sit back and surf these things all day.
So there's the surf life-saving skis and the ocean skis, almost like an offshoot of that sport.
Is it just with the paddle?
So you actually have pedals.
So the pedals control the rudder in the back, so a fin.
And yeah, left pedal down, it goes left, right pedal down, it goes right.
When you have a huge wave in front of you and you need to back paddle, you need to think opposite to that with the steering.
And also your paddle, it's a good point you make, helps you control it as well.
So particularly when you're coming down a wave and your rudder might be out of the water, that paddle
paddle can be a really useful way of steering.
So these craft, I mean, they were first developed, I think maybe Hawaii, I don't want to quote that, but the Hawaiians have been paddling them for centuries and they've just evolved into the really advanced craft where they're at now.
Absolutely.
Absolutely.
I actually, upon initially conceiving the idea, I then went back and forth for six months.
