He's a damn good athlete, and he's a great reflection of really working hard to achieve your dreams, man.
Because he wasn't a highly recruited guy.
No, of course not.
It just sucks that the Jets can't have him.
You know, it just really does.
I mean, it would have been one hell of an offseason thinking about John Harbaugh being the coach of the Giants and Fernando Mendoza having an opportunity to be that franchise quarterback for the Jets.
But, you know, maybe they weren't ready for him.
You know, coaches and scouts will tell you this, and I think we talked about this.
When you watch him play and you watch his teammates react to him,
You know, everybody runs to pick him up.
Yeah.
When he came back with the Heisman Trophy, his teammates all just absolutely swarmed him.
I mean, I think this entire team is in love with this kid, and they respect him to no end.
Probably some of the personal story about his mom also probably touches his teammates.
But the way that he deflects a lot of the praise and the way that he gives praise not only to what he believes in his God, and he also believes in his teammates and his coaching staff.
And he never forgets to always โ
shine the light on those guys and that that's something that coaches and scouts in the nfl are looking at they want to see what kind of guy is he and do the players around him react to him positively and that's from the inner city kids to the country kids all the different personalities that a college football team makes up so they got over you know they got 90 guys on the roster and this guy looks like he's touched every single one of those guys
Yeah, and that's what you want from your leader and your quarterback.
He's a champion.
I mean, he's got everything.
