They enjoyed their two years there.
I mean, he wished he would have never left the Islanders, but he shook the hand of Brendan Shanahan and said, I shook his hand, I got to go.
I mean, like, I can't now go back to the Islanders and say, you give me what they gave me, because the Islanders would have.
I think Garth Snow would have at the time.
But he, you know, Matt's too much of a straight-up guy.
He shook his hand and said, I'm coming.
So they went there and they played, and, you know, he โ
He didn't get along really so much with the coach or the way that the coach was handling Mitch Marner at the time.
And he defended Mitch Marner.
And Toronto's a hard, you know, it's a hard hockey town, just like we're a hard baseball football town here.
You just got to realize just how passionate the fan base is.
And they get all worked up about these things, and they basically go after these players.
And Mitch Marner's a great player.
He's a great player and a great facilitator, and he's loving life in Vegas now.
Mm-hmm.
It sounds to me like Austin Matthews is probably going to be the next guy out of there.
