Royals catcher Carter Jensen removed from the KC starting lineup for their game yesterday against the Twins after he overslept.
Didn't wake up for his alarm.
He slept through it.
And he said, quote, don't really have an excuse, nor should I. It sucks.
It happens.
Feel like I let my teammates down, coaches down, so on and so forth.
They ended up losing that game.

Salvador Perez, the veteran who was supposed to DH, ended up catching the first eight innings before they did get Jensen in late.
Vinny Pasquantino had some, I'll call them extended thoughts on the matter post-game.
After first complimenting Perez for stepping up in a pinch when he was supposed to get a half day off, he turned his attention to the youngster Jensen.
He wasn't quite done there, though, as he continued.
Yeah, I don't know if it was an actual alarm clock or just the one phone alarm that he slept through.
