Ah, it's the same crap.
And I'm like, it is, but it isn't.
Like, they went one for 29 with runners in scoring position, but 16 of those at-bats came from guys who weren't on the team last year.
There's a benefit to them basically being the same team as they were last year.
Because that message gets through really clear.
Like, when Giancarlo Stanton is saying in front of the team, hey, focus matters.
And you want to know why it matters?
Because we lost a tiebreaker to the Blue Jays.
You don't have someone in the back of the room saying, what happened?
Like, unfortunately, if some leader in the Met locker room said, hey, we struggled in April hitting with runners in scoring position, half the room's going to say, what happened now?
What do you mean?
So there is...

And that a message like that coming from the three veterans, Giancarlo Stanton, Aaron Judge, and Paul Goldschmidt, will ring in people's ears.
I thought that was really encouraging.
And I think as a Yankee fan, that should pump you up.
Because the players are basically telling you, dude, every day matters.

And I'm so happy that that happened to the Yankees and the Mets the last couple of years because I've been screaming this forever.
