Sam Weiss used to make us know who the officials were, know where they were from, knew who their family was, and what they would call more than other officiating crews, or less.
So some would call more holding on the offensive line.
Others would call more holding on the defensive backs.
You know, that kind of thing.
And by the way, the umpire in the NFL used to be on the other side of the defensive line and he'd be looking at the defensive line where, you know, the defensive line would be doing those twists and stunts and one of the guys would be grabbing an offensive guard and pulling them towards him so the other guy can come around and the guard can't get out of the hold.
