And it being nominated at the Oscars meant that we were watching the Oscars and suddenly, I think when I was like a seven or eight year old kid, I saw this community in the TV that I wanted to aspire and grow up to be a part of one day.
Fast forward to now, I now know that the awards show thing is an industry in its own right.
It's a lot of smoke and mirrors.
It's a lot of, it's a business.
And that to me is so funny.
I think that one thing that Bowen and I really, it hits both of our instincts comedically is when something takes itself really seriously,
or is super capitalist or feels like it's not yet having a sense of humor about itself.
And so the award show thing felt like a really good opportunity for a satire that hadn't been done.
And so we really just applied our voice to it and it turned out that people wanted to make fun of this thing too.
Like people are going to start to want to win this.
So once it becomes a real thing where people are upset about being excluded or like that they feel snubbed for nominations in a real way.
Then we'll know it's gone too far.
I think we even said in one of our pre-roll audios, it's like, y'all are taking this more seriously than we are at this point.
It'll just run over the commercials.
But really, it's just so fun because every single second of it is satirizing the

We follow the sort of process of the Oscars, but also there's a little bit of Grammys thrown in there.
