I think brings our audience a lot of happiness and a lot of access is the fact that it's very high-low.

We'll talk about whatever's going on in film, music, whatever, and we'll mix the prestige with the frivolous or whatever has been called throwaway entertainment.

Because to be honest with you,

everything really at the end of the day serves the same purpose, which is to entertain, distract, inform, whatever it is.

But there's something fun about the podcast and the culture awards, which treats everything equally.

So that's, I think...

Yeah.

The permission to be like, yeah, I know about what's going on in politics, but I also watch reality television.

Or I, you know, I can pick out the flaws in a script, but I also, you know, I like to go to Six Flags.

Like, I don't know if this was necessarily opposites, but you know what I'm getting at.

I think that, well, here's the other thing.

When I was growing up and having aspirations to be in the business, I didn't really... I think I was really embarrassed to always say this, but...

I've always wanted to be like an entertainer.

Like I always wanted to be, you know, I, when I was growing up, I would watch like Nick at night and they would sometimes rerun Sonny and Cher and they would rerun like I Love Lucy and they would rerun, you know, all these great old variety shows from back in the day.

And I loved Saturday Night Live always.

And I just, what always stuck out to me were people that seemed like they were

could entertain in all sorts of different ways.

And also I'm realistic about, or I was realistic about growing up feeling like I don't really see myself represented so much in any one area, so might as well just try and develop skills as much as I can and have fun learning how to do as much as I can because you just don't know where they're gonna want you or what you're gonna need to be ready for.
