Ryan Poles has got to play a little bit of Tetris with the Bears roster and the Bears salary cap.
And so there's some things that need to be changed.
Ben Johnson talked about it at the end of the year.
He's like, look, this is not going to be the same team because that's what happens every year.
But, yeah, he's got to do that.
Like, for example, you bring in Nashawn Wright, and Nashawn Wright is probably going to get himself a nice deal.
Yeah, as he should.
Three-year deal or something like that, probably somewhere around $40 million or maybe more than that for Nashawn Wright.
You have to make decisions on your safeties.
You have to maybe redo your linebacker room because TJ Edwards is hurt and he's got a lot of miles on him.
And Tremaine Edmonds costs too much money versus your salary cap.
So you have now told his agent, if you can find a trade partner, we would be interested in talking to him.
But more than likely, he's going to be cut.
Let's start with Edmonds.
How do you think he played last year, and does it make sense for the Bears to go, go find a deal, Jermaine, because I don't know if we can bring you back.
With TJ Edwards, you have an injury that is probably going to make him being available early on problematic or maybe not even the best version of himself when he does get back for the Bears.
that seems to now be a very serious deficiency at that position.
I've looked at the free agent market for linebacker.
It's pretty decent.
There's some guys out there that can play.
