Well, let me just ask you this.
Does this work in today's society?
Because I tend to lean no.
If something like this happens, I feel like you've got to get out in front of it.
You have to do more than just say it's laughable because it seems like there's too much smoke there.
And pushing off a meeting with the media where you know you're going to be asked about it,
And it only allows there to be more time where... I don't know if it's The Athletic or The New York Times.
They're now hiring an investigator to look into it further.
But The Athletic is owned.
I think they're owned by The Times.
They are owned by The Times.
But the point is, it only allows for there to be more time for the story to get legs, drum up more of whatever was going on, dig deeper into all of this.
And so to think that...
It's not going to come up again.
You're going to be able to avoid it.
Not in today's news cycle.
