But it is interesting that they were paid exponential amounts of money to go play for live.
They're going to have to pay to come back and play on the PGA Tour.
It feels like Rory McIlroy is the big winner here.
Am I oversimplifying?
No, I think there are a number of people that I would say winners, you know, under, you know, underappreciated in this are some of the agents that stood fast and, and, and,
recommended their players not go mark steinberg uh tiger woods agent and so many uh other players agent uh stood fast i don't think he deserved i don't think he gets enough credit for what he did to sort of hold golf together because a number of agents were pushing their players to go to the saudis but rory yeah absolutely uh rory went out there i think he was hurt by uh

Were they forced to come in and cater to the modern player?
No, I don't think so.
Proponents of Liv will say that the Tour is better now, but look, it tilted the game towards greed.
It muddied the meritocratic aspects of the game of golf.

to pay this future equity of PGA Tour players.
And you can say that it stalled or killed the trajectory of many a player and some would-be Hall of Fame players, and it divided the game.
And right now, I would say that even if these players come back, the purses are so out of touch with reality that they're not sustainable.
