And it comes down to accountability.
And you've heard RJ say his past couple of practice conferences, like these players will know what the expectation is.
And that's exciting for Canucks fans.
And the players will either get on board or they're not.
He is going to be consistent, and you're going to hear him talk to the media this week, Sat, at his introductory press conference, and you're going to hear him use that word consistency a lot.
He also will probably mention the process and compete.
Those are the non-negotiables, not with just Manny, but with RJ.
That's why those two aligning in this new regime, if you will, is a huge factor for this franchise.
Manny is coming into a situation where he's not going to be judged on wins and losses right away.
Like, if he came in last year, boys, and the mandate was to make the playoffs, that's a different story.
It was almost a blessing in disguise that he came back and did another year in Abbotsford because...
Not much is going to change for him, I don't think.
It's weird to say.
I know he's going to the NHL.
It's the best league in the world.
But when you sit back and think about it, he's going to have some runway here to really create something from scratch in a sense and establish an identity right from the start.
