Yeah.
I mean, it's about 20% of the effect of smoking if you, you know, want to think about it that way.
So in numbers, we look at two measures.
One is pace of aging, which is how fast you're aging year on year, sort of like a speedometer.
And one hassler in your life is associated with about 1.5%.
Faster aging per year.
And then we also look at something called grim age, which is actually named after the grim reaper.
And it measures sort of time to death.
And so each additional hassle is associated with being about nine months older or dying about nine months earlier.
Yeah, well, take this with a grain of salt because I'm not a psychologist and also I personally am terrible at this.
But I think setting boundaries is really important, right?
So, you know, if you have to interact with difficult people, try to limit how much you interact with them or when you interact with them or how you interact.
I think that's really important.
Good communication is also really important.
And then, you know, try to do things to de-stress before and after you have to interact with them.
So engage in self-care, do things that make you feel good and exercise, you know, whatever makes you de-stress.
And then also try to increase the positive relationships in your life so that sort of on balance, your relationships are bringing you better health.
I think so.
Yes, for sure.
Although there just has been very little research on relationships and stress and how these difficult relationships particularly can aid you biologically.
