It's so interesting.
It sounds like you never lost the allure of the Jesuit sensibility.
Clearly.
I mean, just the idea that a religious person can curse was sort of foreign to me until a couple of years ago, I was at a conference and one of the participants was a Jesuit priest.
And he just, he dropped a giant F-bomb in the middle of a sentence and everybody just stopped and stared.
And he said, like, do you think I don't know these words as a person of color?
Person of color.
It was his line.
It was so well-timed, and it just took the tension out of the room.
And he was humanizing himself and saying, hey, I'm actually one of you, even though I wear this collar.
It's so beautiful.
I swear.
That's so well put.
And I think it describes one of his greatest virtues.

It was a masterclass in improv comedy.
