arc yeah and a baddie is allowed to be a goodie and you know redeem themselves all that kind of thing absolutely there's so many different things explored um redemption is a big theme and forgiveness and when it's possible and when it's not and people overstepping marks but that being a sort of very human element even with vampires I mean they they used to be humans they still have human sort of frailty um

It's really... Yeah, I think it's fair to say it's probably the darkest thing that happens in the series, which is about evil, so it's kind of mad.
But they've been having a relationship which is, you know, it's physical and there's clearly...
Some love, but I think Buffy just wants to feel something, anything, because she's going through a kind of depression.
And then Spike basically tries to force himself on her.
She manages to defend herself, but clearly a line has been massively crossed.
And the only way he can redeem himself is by going through these trials, regaining his soul, and then coming back and being able to sort of
work up the trust in the relationship.
And also Buffy's in a bit of a pickle with the end of the world again.
She's busy, man.
She manages to give him another chance and it plays out well.
Yeah.
Of course he's a vampire.
