So many guys were hurt
So it didn't really end up being the kind of World vs. USA narrative thing they were hoping for.
But even still, just by virtue of it being a tournament, and the games were shorter, and so the guys were...
a bigger percentage of each of the games were parts of the game that the guys cared about.
And, you know, I think you have to credit the people who were even kind of annoying about it.
Like Wemby being really annoying about it.
Absolutely do.
Dude, he's, I was going to say, man, like Jamal, look, Jamal's not on the same level as some of the guys in the all-star game.
Jamal's an incredible player.
Like some of those guys obviously are some of the very, very, very, very, very best players ever play.
And, you know, he struggled a lot in that first game.
Even him coming out and saying, if these guys don't want to play hard, I'll come.
I'll go take that MVP.
No problem.
Like, look, was Jamal ever really going to win the MVP?
Probably not saying that stuff, though.
I do think it all kind of swirled to like, well, I'm not going to be the only one who doesn't try for most of these guys.
And so I think credit to the individuals who did play.
really want it to happen.
And then I think Anthony Edwards too was the guy who sensed that that's what everyone else was doing and was like, yeah, I'm going to do it too.
