Even if you feel like he's on the bubble of the rotation when everyone's healthy, maybe you're in a playoff series, you feel you're one shooter down.

You're just trying to inject some life into things.

And Julian is a candidate to do that.

He was last postseason, and I think he's regained that status here in the last couple of weeks.

Well, and there's a chance, and this is unfortunate for him, no doubt about it, but there's a chance that with the way things have gone, you can retain him at a pretty nice deal, potentially, if you see that kind of value in him that you were just describing.

At one point, I thought to myself, that's why Fakou never shot at the rim.

Because it just starts to get embarrassing after.

He couldn't do it, man.

And I would imagine that his rates of being blocked at the rim, you know, compared to the rest of the league, were outrageous.

But...

He's making real NBA layups again.

You know what I mean?

I mean, he likes that floater, but he was entirely relying on it.

It just felt like he couldn't find the angle or beat guys off the first step.

No, this is true.

And he's just finishing at the rim.

And the cool thing is he seemed aware of what wasn't working.

When I talked to him about it, he said, look, I'm trying to be better at the rim, trying to be stronger.

He said, I got to start shooting more threes.

That was around the same time of the year we were all having that conversation.
