But then they keep making all these little modifications.
Kyle's phone has a stand over here by his joystick, so he can do it.
His left arm is tied down.
His spasticity doesn't cause him to hit me this whole podcast.
So the equipment that we use for the foundation is very similar in that it's a pretty basic premise that just evolves slowly to make it so that for us, they feel fully included in a race and not just a bystander or cheerleader.
And when we speak to elementary schools, it's probably the most canned talk that we do.
Like, it hardly ever changes.
But he has this great line where he says, I'm not in pain.
I'm not uncomfortable.
And I'm okay.
Or he's basically like, they're looking at him and they're like, they're trying to figure it out because kids are curious, right?
They'll open their mouths, which is a wonderful thing.
And it's like, I'm not in pain.
I'm not uncomfortable.
And it's not getting worse.
This thing that you're seeing doesn't get worse for me.
Like, this is just it.
This is my life.
So you and I look at his left arm and go, gosh, I can't imagine what that would feel like to have my left arm strapped to a chair all day.
But that's what Kyle has lived with.
