So when a book came out or an NC-17 movie was art house, people wanted to go.
They were curious because they were going to have an experience they couldn't get anywhere else.
Well, I mean, first off, just something like Last Tango in Paris was a big deal.
Big deal, yeah.
Wouldn't have been a big deal today at all.
Not at all.
But we don't have time for big deals anymore.
I mean it's just everything is moving so quickly that no matter who it is or what happens we're just on to the next news cycle.
Well the problem with that of course is that that then renders everything disposable.
It just feels disposable.
So much of what's coming out in terms of film or
Music or, you know, a band that you're interested who like hits for like a week on iTunes.
And then it's, you know, there's just so much content flooding.
Yeah.
Flooding toward us that it's.
You know, it's hard to just land on something and have something really speak for itself for a long period of time.
And a long period of time is what, a month?
I mean, how long do even the most popular movies, you know, play theatrically?
