Well, they're not entirely sure when the Spygate stuff started.
But I bring that up because he then had an issue with illegally filming a practice when he was with the Broncos and Josh McDaniels.
And I think he got fired for that and the Broncos...
got fined, and he admitted to wrongdoing.
So he basically went away for a while, and he's since kind of had a new life in the NFL, and he's been one of these chief of staff guys and girls.
There are women who have these roles too in the NFL, but pretty much a liaison between a bunch of different departments in the organization.
Head coach delegates things like coordinating practice times and schedules and films.
So I think it's a role that Mike Tomlin didn't have, and it probably shows you that Mike McCarthy is β
maybe a little bit more on the cutting edge of things in the modern NFL than people would give him credit for for his age.
What about philosophy-wise?
Will he be involved with that?
No, I think this is more of a jack-of-all-trades type of role where you're handling a lot of the practice scripts and things of that nature, and you're probably making sure all the coaches are on the same page and scheduling the meetings and making sure the meetings run smoothly.
Hey, where was he a few years ago?
Exactly.
When George Pickens was kind of showing up whenever he... Or Mr. Big Chest as well.
Yeah, yeah.
And also another interesting thing that I found looking into this more was, I guess he was part of the challenge process in Atlanta with Raheem Morris.
Now, I don't know if he was the guy pulling up numbers or...
viewing video to say, hey, make this call or don't, but he had the flag on him, and then I suppose he would hand it to Raheem Morris, and he would chuck it for the Falcons.
That's very interesting.
