And we know the Steelers have all their bases covered at edge defender, but I just feel like if you can come at teams in waves with those defensive tackles who penetrate, collapse the pocket, pressure, allow you to get pressure with just rushing four, that is not a bad recipe to follow.

And we know they still need to sort of keep building behind Cam Hayward.

So I'd be a little surprised at this juncture if it's an O-lineman, but

slightly less surprised if they keep building the trenches on the D-line limits.

And no one on that Seahawks defense had more than seven sacks in the regular season.

They had three guys were tied and only one of those was an edge rusher.

Uchenna and Wosu who had the touchdown against the Patriots.

The other two were Byron Murphy and Leonard Williams who are more interior rushers.

So I think that tells you a couple of things.

One, you know, to use a Mike Tomlin ism, the strength of the pack was the pack.

It wasn't one guy who had all sort of revolved around whether, you know, that's a,

an edge guy or an interior guy, but it also tells you, yeah, I mean, they got an advantageous positions by stopping the run first and foremost.

And then you, you heat up the opposing team on third down or whatever it is.

And they're behind the chains and boom, now they're off track and they can't extend a drive and you're getting your defense off the field.

You're getting your offense off.

back on the field so uh and let's not leave out of this discussion too guys I mean we're talking player acquisition through the lens of the draft but Mike McDonald's got the juice right I mean there's just something that that guy is doing right we always talk about offensive play callers I was going to say we always talk about the the McVeigh's and the Shanahan's being ahead of defensive play callers from that standpoint but Mike McDonald is obviously dialing up

exactly what he needs to at exactly the right time to stay a step ahead of these offensive coaches on the opposing sideline.

Yeah, I mean, they were looking at that position a little bit last year.

I remember we were all sort of raising eyebrows when they brought in Nicky Manwari for a pre-draft visit.

You know, one of those 30 visits, they only get a finite number of those.
