So here's my thing that I'm wondering about Rogers.
One of the first sort of sidebars out there after the hire was made on Saturday, I think our Jerry Dulac reported it was that sources told him this has nothing to do with Rogers.
And then I think art has said that again since on the record.
Now, is that a situation where thou doth protest too much, you know, like they, they don't want to make it seem like, Hey, this was Rogers driven, uh,
in any way because that is a perception of Rodgers going back, well, to his days with McCarthy and Green Bay, right, was that he tried to play GM, coach, and quarterback all in one sometimes.
And I think that popped up again this year at times with MVS.
Now, are they trying to just steer away from that because they don't want that to be the narrative rightly or wrongly?
Or are they actually setting the table for, no, this doesn't β we've already heard through the grapevine that that's not how this is going to go, so let's just prepare everyone for it.
It's accumulating on my street, too.
It's not good.
I think you should give like a 10-minute soliloquy as you're placing the order to like gauge the societal pluses and minuses of such a move and ask them if they're sure.
Couldn't I just be right on all of these if I bring them all up and I'll just shout everyone down?
You could manipulate this.
To ask about Rashard Mendenhall or Steel Mills or whatever.
I mean, maybe at some point, but that wasn't a fun time for the Steelers and the franchise that he's coaching now.
Yeah, because I think that's the conceit of this entire move for the Steelers, right?
And that's what's interesting to me about this too, Joe, is I understand the logic and the philosophy of, hey, we think we can still contend and we always want to be competitive.
That's our MO here year in and year out.
We'll find a way to do it.
And Mike McCarthy is kind of the most logical person because he has been there and done that.
