teaching the offense to people.
So Stan's the reason it's going to be someone who knows it well, knows all of Mike's verbiage, all of that stuff.
So yeah, there's a bunch of people who've worked with him in, in green Bay and Dallas, and many of them have local ties.
So, you know, I would guess he, I guess would, would be thrown out there.
One name that I've included in my story, Brian Angelico is his name.
He worked for,
mccarthy and green bay and now he's on the viking staff under kevin o'connell so i i think marrying those two things uh wouldn't hurt and then defensively i don't know guys that that's like kind of the opposite i think you have pretty much a blank slate you could go all sorts of different ways but whoever it is is you know going to be running the defense absent of
Mike Tomlin's input, so maybe it will be someone who's been a DC before or a head coach even recently.
That would be my guess on that side of the ball.
Well, Jim Schwartz I don't necessarily β
view as like a retread.
I mean, he has one of the best units in the NFL right now in Cleveland.
He'd be a retread head coach.
Right now, he's just simply one of the best defensive coordinators in football, period, full stop.
So I see what you're saying, though.
I mean, there's always the promise of untapped potential, right?
And that was a big reason, I think, why a lot of Steelers fans wanted to see them
go with a first-time head coach to begin with instead of McCarthy because you don't necessarily know until you see it.
It's almost, you know, the standard and the expectations are sort of placed on McCarthy when someone new would be coming in here with no background or resume to speak of.
It's just the vast unknown, and that can be exciting.
