I really didn't want the attention.
I tried everything I could for people not to know and keep on the DL.
So I'm not out there
telling everybody anything or wearing flashy clothes or driving a fancy car.
But people get to know who you are because of who you associate with.
But do I like the culture then?
I would say yes.
Do I like the discipline?
I really do think I did very well working under those conditions.
And what I mean by that is if I make one mistake,
I know that I would be murdered, not by the Gambino family of Staten Island, but by the DeCavecani family.
That's why when they talk about it, show it, portray it as the Sopranos, nah, the guy I dealt with was serious.
No joke.
No, no.
These guys don't mess around.
So I've thrived on that.
And all it did is push me to implement these codes better.
All it did is further protected us and made me go put this thing.
And that's why, of course, you can't use drugs.
You've got to be on point every step of the way.
