And maybe that, that cautiousness hurt them in this 2017 or even 2022 explosion of what we know is.
And then the last thing I just want to say, and probably the most important thing on this really quick is, yes, it's great that Jeffrey Hinton is saying this.
And yes, we could already say he worked at Google, so he might be more biased towards Google winning.
But the very bottom of the article says, Google just made a big university donation in Hilton's honor.
Hilton's honor.
Hinton spoke to Business Insider ahead of the announcement that Google was donating $10 million, Canadian dollars, I guess, to the CAD to help establish the Hinton Chair in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Toronto.
The university where Hinton split his time while at Google said it would match Google's gift.
So, look, I'm not saying he's swayed.
He's the godfather of AI.
He can speak for himself, but it's always important to sort of...
follow some of these uh comments and stuff i'm not necessarily he's wrong either i think it's an interesting article but also important to know that they're donating 10 million dollars in his honor well but the news on that one like he left google so that he could uh that was a story like a couple years ago whenever he left google he left google so that he could talk about
but it's interesting, you know, I mean, he's, he's an interesting guy to listen to just like Yann LeCun.
He was in the news too, by the way, with meta and different things like that.
And so it's interesting to watch some of these, you know, early voices and how they're seeing things play out.
It's, it's to me, it's akin of listening to what's the, I can picture his face, the co-founder of Apple, Wozniak, Steve Wozniak.
It's sort of like,
he's done things clearly and he's had an opinion all the way through the years.
You always like with sneak wads in there, you know, uh, quotes will just pop up.
It'd be like, well, I think this or that or whatever.
And it's like, Oh, okay.
