yeah and all trade shut down so instantly overnight money stopped and then a fella called carlo lavolsi who was based in canada who was one of the one of the original owners of the club uh he said i'll take it over and i'll give everybody's salary the you haven't been paid for six months i'll back pay everybody and i'll promote it because i've got this is carlo lavolsi i've got a men's product company that i want to go into europe with
and I think sponsoring an horn in Toronto Wolfpack is going to be really good for my company.
And he had a plan.
And they went to a vote and the Super League owners said no.
They voted no?
Well, the majority of the clubs said no.

See it from their point of view.
What was they going to get out of a slice of the pie going to a club in Canada?

Okay.
Because we've already been told that the existence of Toronto is so tenuous that they don't get a slice of the pie.
They don't get any broadcasting money and they had to pay for everybody else's travel and accommodation.
I understand why they said no.
What I do disagree with, and it's been brushed on the table, is that about 60 people employed right then, was employed.
When Carlo Lavolsi put his hand up and said, I'll take it over.
Maybe the long-term plan for the Toronto Wolfpack needed to be reassessed.
But to say no in COVID...
And just everybody was unemployed.
