So we've got to attack in a way which creates moments.
And then we've got to defend relentlessly.
we have to defend relentlessly because, you know, you'll be operating at a game that's turned up eight, nine out of ten, and all of a sudden it'll just go to ten out of ten, and then before you know it, bam, bam, bam, there's a couple of passes that look really simple as you watch TV, but to put on that simplicity when the volume of the game is turned up so high is what most NRL players have to do most weeks.
I don't know.
I don't know.
I wouldn't use that phrase.
Is the task ahead a big task?
Of course it is.
Absolutely.
And I think having some humility about us as a team, I think being humble and having humility as a team is a really good word to use as we go into the competition.
But humility and understanding the competition that we come from doesn't necessarily mean that we don't believe we can win, or that we think that the task in front of us is impossible.
But I'm going to tell you this, I reckon if we stand in front of Australia and play the same way they do, yeah, then it probably is.
I think then the way they play and the way that they attack and the system, the structure that they attack with, the volume that it gets turned up with, and that's where I'm saying we have to do things a bit differently.
But that runway that you land on, you know, too far the other way, you're playing too open and too expansive and international football won't allow you to do that.
Too far the other way, you're to play too conservative, just keeping hold of the ball and just kicking the ball long with high completions won't get the job done for England.
So there's something in between there where we've got to seize our moments.
We've got to anticipate those moments.
When those moments present themselves, we can't be chasing something else.
You know, the halfbacks can't be stood 10 yards behind the ruck, looking sideways for the next shape, which is what I saw with the Ashes series last year.
So, you know, there is a point of difference that we really need to nail down and be really clear with what that is.
