For sure, there's loads of similarities between Super League and the NRL.

And one of them would be that the referees put the whistle in the pocket towards finals and the back end of the year.

And what they try to do is clean up the game and create a level of discipline within the teams by giving penalties away or six against.

But towards the back end of the year, they'll calm down.

And certainly in finals, they don't do that.

And then in grand finals, as you know, there's very few six against a penalty given, which I like.

I do like that.

But why are they giving them at the start of the year?

You know, that's the thing.

And that's the same in Super League as well.

So I reckon the internationals, hopefully, will have a bit of that, you know, a bit of that, dare I say, common sense refereeing rather than... I've seen an infringement, you know, and if you want to look at any rugby league ruck, very much like a rugby union ruck, you'll find an infringement.

some form of some form of infringement and there's no reason to give a six again but yeah again you might get somebody sat in this chair next week who says look I love the six against and I don't understand why they would say that as well because the game is fast as and it's like watching tennis people's eyes doing that from set to set you know so yeah it is going to be you're right the seasons do normally follow that pattern and

Yeah, I wouldn't know.

I haven't really had any feedback from the RFL and the people that interviewed me, and neither have I sought feedback either.

I think the point of difference, and I think you've got to have an understanding that we need to do something different.

I think that may have struck a chord with them.

I don't know what the other coach would have said, by the way, but if another coach would sit in front of them and say, yeah, yeah, we just need to keep hold of the ball for longer and we just need to be better defensively and

But, you know, Sean Wade did a fantastic job in terms of motivating his players to play for the shirt.

And, you know, that's a big part of DNA of Sean, isn't it?
