Yeah, I had the wonderful and lovely privilege of working with David Attenborough up in Scotland.
And on the off chance that he happens to be listening to RT today, I'd like to wish him a happy 100th birthday.
But yeah, it was a wonderful opportunity and it was a wonderful experience to get to work
with David Attenborough and the BBC Wildlife team.
So what happened was I'm involved in the diving business here in Ireland, Ocean Divers Limited, and we would do a lot of marine support services for the film industry and anybody basically who wants kind of boats and diving support services.
and I got a call from the BBC on a Thursday afternoon here on and I had worked here in Ireland with a film crew who had been filming swans and David Attenborough and the BBC wildlife team were doing the same thing in Scotland up in Loch Lomond and they needed
a boat that would be able to travel at the same speed as the swans and carry the crew and the camera people aboard.
And I had such a vessel, so I was asked, would I go to Scotland, take the boat with me and work with them there for a week?
And it stood out for him because of the proximity of the birds.
And those birds, they're wild birds, but they've also, they're imprinted.
They were brought up with Rose and Lloyd Buck in the UK, who, that's their passion, is bringing up birds from hawks and owls and everything else.
But swans, and then these swans would follow Rose in the boat, right beside the boat.
and allowing you to see every ruffle of every feather as they swarmed literally through the air.
So it was a super experience and wonderful then to work with David for those number of days out in the boat.
So we got to spend a lot of time with him and the other people up there in a beautiful place, Loch Lomond up in Scotland.
He was lovely to spend time with, myself and the Scottish guy who we were working with in the boat.
