None of the parents in the playground had anything to identify it as a rat trap or rat poison.
So saying in their defence that there may have been a problem, well, that wasn't communicated properly.
And I don't think the necessary steps to secure something like a rat bait station were taken.
And they weren't labelled as such either.
So people couldn't make informed decisions.
We need to get this out of here.
And young kids kind of picking them up.
If you've seen them, and I think I sent them across to your team, they look like plastic rocks.
In the example I sent you across, you can kind of see that one of them has been gnawed slightly.
So it looks like it's been half chewed.
And look, there's different standards to having something privately in your home versus having something in a public space, right?
There's different standards of compliance you would expect to be followed in that instance to ensure that the relevant safety precautions were taken to make sure that children don't come into contact with stuff like that and it doesn't end up in an area like a playground.
And look, I think it's part of a wider issue with managing companies, I think.
is the level of communication, the level of service being delivered.
Like, I mean, we, as part of buying the house, and like anyone who's bought a house in Ireland, we're quite privileged to be able to do that, and we appreciate that.
But having a management fee imposed on us as part of that, it's not something we can really object to when you're in the process of buying a house.
And, you know, this is just negating the duties of the council for that estate.
and bringing someone in to privately deliver those services.
