Yeah, it's hard for me to say more than Kim would.
I would point listeners to check out that for sure.
I think the most interesting part of this is, well, for one thing, with Trump nominating his own person to succeed Powell, you're going to see the political temperature turn down a little bit.
But I do think that there's going to be concerns about the independence of the Fed in the sense that Powell was extremely, he drew a very
bright line.
He was not going to be influenced.
He was not going to be bullied.
He was going to do what he thought was right.
And I think a lot of investors and a lot of market watchers had issues with what Powell thought was right.
I think a lot of people thought he was late in the post-pandemic environments.
He let inflation get
out of control a little bit and then wasn't able to tamp it down fast enough.
And we're still sort of living with the aftermath of that.
So I think there's a lot of criticism that can be laid at Powell.
But the one thing that he was unbending about was the bright line between the Fed and the sort of political parts of the government.
And so with Warsh owing his appointment to Trump, I think it becomes clear
We'll have to see what he says, right?
I think as investors, him holding that line would be really important.
The other thing about Warsh that I find interesting is it's a little hard to kind of see where his head is at.
When he was on the Fed previously, he was seen as a hawk.
