I think one of the things that happens in the NBA, sometimes a coach, because of how much money he has left on his contract, he sometimes will get more of a rope.

But it's not always.

Two years ago, the Pistons hired Monte Williams, gave him $80 million.

Yes, fired him in an hour.

Yeah, so...

If there's no one-size-fits-all, I will say that you do tend to see them happen in packs.

And right now there hasn't been much activity, but I will just say the offseason hasn't really begun yet.

There's still a majority of teams that are still playing.

So I think we will see more activity.

And also one of the things that you sometimes see in the NBA is

teams will fire their coach when another coach might become available.

And I'm not sure Billy Donovan has reached that stage, but Billy Donovan, despite not having a ton of success in the NBA, he's had a couple of good years, and he's done okay in Chicago and okay in Oklahoma City.

He is a coach that a lot of teams really like.

And so

I will be interested to see where Billy Donovan is next year and whether the team that, if he is in the league, if the team that hires him controversially fires their coach to hire him.

Because a lot of people like him.

Jerry Reinsdorf, the owner of the Bulls, was begging him to stay.

They were saying, please don't leave.

Billy, do you want to be the team president?

Whatever you want.
