They have picked this boy.
They've said, you are the avatar of our god, who has not been around for a very long time.
He's the avatar of the Vamion, the phoenix, this god who was meant to rebirth the world in flame.
He has no concept of social skills because he's been stuck in a tower his whole life and he's not been exposed to people of his age.
So he's an introverted young man with a great amount of destiny laying upon his shoulders.
And he's essentially told, if you don't do this,
our country falls to pieces.
You fail not only yourself, but a whole country's worth of people.
Wow, I would have a psychotic break immediately.
Yeah, he's got no clue, which love him to bits.
I was kind of sick of brooding dark male love interests who were like worldly and
I'm in a position of power and I know everything and the female character is kind of hopeless.
And I'm like, cool, he's hopeless now.
He's got no idea.
She's the one who knows how the world works functionally.
She doesn't know how the world works on a noble scale, but she knows how it works for him.
kind of in some ways but like always self-motivating doesn't have someone who's like my only concern is like making sure that you get through this which is such a shame like it's also makes it so hard for him well he perceives them as all being out for their own gain is the thing yeah because when I it's a trap of how they raised him it's like the Ouroboros eating its own tail
cool, we've raised you to believe that everyone's out really to get you and everyone wants you dead because you were the messiah and you were our king and Fjord Crane assassins are going to get here.
So he ends up having to believe, cool, everyone's out for their own gain and everyone's out to get me and that includes all of you.
Like there is an inherent mistrust there because of their raising.
