I also remember being a little annoyed as a fan that sometimes he would get himself sent off because he'd be overaggressive, and I'd be like, oh, man.
Come on, keep it together.
But I had recently heard the story too that he was doing it tough.
He was living on the streets.
And I was like, that is super sad, being a fan of the Warriors and then seeing a player end up the way he had become.
For me, it was like, oh my goodness.
But there was an interview done this week explaining a lot about what Kane Evans was going through.
Yeah, I think for me personally, Cain Evans, I will probably never know him on a personal level.
I will probably, he may not even hear what I have to say.
And so this is for where my head goes to instantly.
We have a 6'7", 116 kg, Cain Bradley Evans.
This is just what's written in the stats on Wikipedia.
A guy who was fighting with every ounce of energy he had, who he was and who he is.
I got to see him in a Warriors jersey for a certain amount of time.
And now I see him now being extremely brave and probably putting on the biggest hit that he's done his entire career here by feeling a bit more free.
And because I don't know what you went through and where you've been, all I can say is I am so happy that this and being able to do this
may give you some comfortability within your own life.
Yeah, and I think it's a good reminder for all of us.
For me as a sports fan to go, you know, don't be so quick to judge, calling him, you know, for me I was like, here's a dude who just, you know, he can't keep control of his emotions and he's going to get a red card.
He's going through a full war within.
