And we simply hold those broken places with tenderness and kindness.
Breathing peace towards them.
dwelling in the moment, dwelling in the breath, dwelling in grace, surrendering the difficult places and people into the fullness of grace, all the while breathing in and breathing out.
Breathing in, I know I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know I am breathing out.
Breathing in, I breathe in compassion.
Breathing out, I offer compassion to all.
Breathing in, I breathe in mercy.
Breathing out, I breathe out mercy to all.
All the while breathing in, breathing out, at peace.
And gently then, just simply coming back to the physical act of breath.
letting go of all images, letting go of all sensation except that of breath, being at peace, simply breathing.
beginning then to move our fingers and our toes once again, to feel our connection with the chair, the floor, making the intention to try and build these values into the rest of our day, at least towards ourselves.

Today's meditation is going to be slightly different.
It's a reminder to us that we can bring meditative awareness with us wherever we go, whatever we're doing.
There might be times when it's difficult to find sitting meditation possible, perhaps in the midst of a very busy day, or perhaps simply because we don't have the space.
But the meditative tradition always teaches that meditation is possible.
And one of the ways in which we can take a moment to dwell in this interior stillness is simply by entering the moment, whatever the moment is, consciously and with awareness.
So today we're going to practice a standing meditation.
