Breathing in, I begin to practice the little way of love.
Breathing out, I make the intention to put love at the heart of everything that I will do today.
Taking a moment then to come back to the breath itself in the present moment.
Really feeling now once again our connection with the chair or a cushion.
With the floor beneath us.
beginning to move fingers, toes, maybe to stretch a little in the chair.
Preparing now with intention to move into the rest of the day and allowing the sound of the bell to draw us back to the room.
back to all that we will enter with love today.

One of the great fruits of meditative practice, indeed, one of the goals of the practice is to deepen our skill of empathy, the ability to be with others, to understand how our actions, our words, even our thoughts can affect others for good or for ill.
In this meditation, we will work with the visualization to help us deepen our empathy skills.
So let's begin.
Taking this time of meditation, entering it as fully as we can.

In today's meditation, we turn to an ancient practice of putting love at the very center of our being.
In the Christian monastic meditative tradition, love is, of course, the origin of all things.
Love is the goal to which we are moving towards and love is the practice itself.
And so consciously placing love at the center of our practice allows us to remember this, to dwell in this experience.
So let's begin.
