Breathing in, I know that I am breathing in.
Breathing out, I know that I am breathing out.
Breathing in, I breathe in peace.
Breathing out I breathe out peace towards all those in need.
Breathing in I am peaceful.
Breathing out I breathe out peace into the world.
all the while breathing in, breathing out, resting in these moments of peace, resting in the grace of the present moment.
And as we breathe, if there are any areas of our life currently that are
less than peaceful, we may like to picture them for a moment or two and to visualize ourselves breathing peace into the midst of that situation.
We can picture our breath as light or color, if that helps.
Imagining now that as you breathe out towards this situation,
Your reaction to this situation begins to change.
You are a little more peaceful about it.
A little bit more aware of how you at least can choose to bring peace to that situation, even if no one else does.
This is not saying that you bring an attitude of allowing anything to happen, but that you bring to that situation a deep contact with the peace of your own being, such that all of the other gifts necessary will be more available to you in the moment.
When we are not compressed by anxiety or stress, our being is open and expansive and has access to many more tools than we would normally have if dealing with something in a compressed or less than peaceful way.
So making the resolution to bring peace into these situations, to be aware of your breath in those moments, and to feel in your breath the vibration of your practice, of these practices of peace.
Breathing in, I know that I am breathing in.
Breathing in, I am filled with divine peace and love.
Breathing out, I bring that peace and love into every encounter.
