I would sign him.
Where I stumble there is he ought to have been a lot more sure of him last year than I am this year, and I'm still pretty sure on him as an NHL prospect.
I've talked about Bob Hartley's influence on offensive players in the past, so we don't need to get into that.
But he brings a level or he brings several elements that I think the Oilers could benefit from.
You know, first of all, he's a very big body and uses it very well.
He's a decent skater, not a great skater, but certainly a passable skater in the NHL.
He's not David Tomasic.
No disrespect to David.
But David just didn't have enough.
foot speed to get around, and Maxime certainly does.
And the big thing is you've got somebody who can play the left and the right side and bring offensive skill to a team.
He's not going to score.
He's not a scorer, a mean goal scorer.
He's more of a playmaker, more of a setup guy.
And if he came over, you'd see him sort of in that role where, you know, on the third line where he'd score from four feet out because he'd be really impossible to defend.
